I watched the first linked video several times. He is preloading the trigger with 1-2mm of take up AFTER all the slack is taken out. That is a partially depressed trigger, not a trigger with 1mm of slack taken out. Agree that slide movement shouldn’t cause it to fire even with a partially depressed trigger.
I think Ian is spot on. A) Sig doesn’t know what the issue is and b) the only way to get out of this hole is to own it and stop trying to gaslight everyone, and c) it’s going to be hard to come back from this…l
Ahree with Ian McCollum that the damage to SIG's reputation is deep and wide. They needed to do an in-depth engineering investigation like the FBI's and issue a statement along with repair/replacements.
The video of Ozzy's ari rifle obsession is interesting and kinda cool!
My Ruger Mk IV had a defective safety that could be half on/half off and lead to an UD. Ruger fixed it with a fast turn around time and gave customers a free extra magazine. Try as I might I couldn't get it to fire unintentionally since I don't have a habit of putting my safety half on/half off. Still sent it back for the refit.
The truth is that Sig Sauer has a much bigger problem than most people realize. If they initiate a recall or any kind of compensation campaign, they would be legally admitting guilt, which constitutes negligence. I believe people could even face prison in such a scenario.

If they want to get out of the hole, step 1 is stop digging.
I’m not giving up my Sig yet…
I might not get a P320 in the near future, but my 1911 and M11 (P229) are excellent. We should've adopted the M11 more widely.
I think the exposed hammer was a drawback for modern handguns.
Step One:
Make guns that do not suck.
